We strive on safety, knowledge, and experience in navigating the waters of south Louisiana, recognizing that with disappearing wetlands and forever changing shallow water reefs and underwater debris that one does not learn these big waters overnight, or by studying a map, even navigating by GPS. Let’s face it, years of experience cannot be bought, and it is the single most important credential to possess. A paper license alone will not yield a successful nor safe fishing guide. Fin & Feather uses safe and dependable aluminum flat bottom duck boats powered by air-cooled Mud Buddy engines, which are easily navigated by your guide throughout the delta estuary. The boats are fully equipped and US Coast Guard licensed.

Equipment:
*For Inshore fishing: Fin & Feather uses safe and dependable 22ft. and 24ft. fiberglass Bay boats powered by V-6 outboard engines, which get you to the fish quickly and comfortably. Our knowledgable local Captains are US Coast Guard licensed with many years of experience. All boats are US Coast Guard approved and fully equipped with rods-n-reels, artificial lures, and bait; no need to bring your equipment, unless you prefer.

*For Offshore fishing: Fin & Feather uses safe and dependable 33’ fiberglass catamaran boats powered by twin v-6 300HP 4-stroke outboard engines to get you to the fish quickly, and with a comfortable ride. Our Captains are US Coast Guard licensed with many years of experience. Our boats are US Coast Guard approved and fully equipped with all the necessary navigational electronics along with all the rods-n-reels, lures, and bait.

*For Waterfowl hunting: Fin & Feather uses safe and dependable aluminum “Go-Devil” duck boats and barges powered by V-twin cylinder air-cooled engines, which are easily navigated by your guide. The boats are fully equipped and US Coast Guard licensed.
